Join artist Dawn McTaggart for a relaxed, hands on taster session designed specifically for beginners. Lino printing is a fantastic way to create bold, graphic images, and this workshop will guide you through every step of the process, from the first carve to the final ink-pressed print.

What You Will Learn:

• The Basics of Mark Making: Start on an A6 lino block to practice carving techniques, experimenting with texture, pattern, and different tools to see the unique marks you can create.
• From Design to Print: Move on to a larger A6 masterpiece. You can bring your own sketches, or if you’re looking for inspiration, Dawn will provide a selection of templates to help you get started.
• Inking and Pressing: Learn how to roll ink evenly and pull a clean print, leaving you with a series of original artworks to take home.

This taster session is all about experimentation and fun. No previous drawing or printing experience is required, as Dawn will be on hand to provide guidance throughout the workshop.
